IT Security Specialist – Security Operations
Do you want to play a key role in strengthening cybersecurity for a global organization?
We are looking for an IT Security Specialist to join our Security Operations team. In this role, you will work hands-on with advanced security technologies while contributing to the protection and continuous improvement of Stena Group’s global IT environment. You will collaborate with colleagues across IT, architects, and business stakeholders to strengthen our security capabilities in an evolving threat landscape.
We offer
In this role, you will contribute to the operation and development of Stena Group IT’s security capabilities. You will work with core security services such as security monitoring, endpoint protection, threat detection, vulnerability management, and web application protection, helping ensure that our services remain secure, resilient, and effective.
Your work will include monitoring and analyzing security events, investigating incidents, and supporting the organization in responding to potential threats. You will also contribute to improving processes, supporting security reviews of solutions and projects, and identifying improvements that strengthen our overall security posture.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across IT and the business as well as external partners and vendors. You will contribute to service follow-ups, operational reporting, and security governance activities, helping provide transparency around risks, incidents, and the performance of our security services.
About you
You are a structured and proactive security professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of your work. With a strong security mindset, you approach your responsibilities with curiosity, responsibility, and a continuous improvement perspective.
You collaborate naturally with colleagues across IT disciplines and communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Sharing knowledge and supporting the organization in strengthening security practices is something you see as a natural part of your role.
You bring several years of experience working within IT security, systems engineering, or systems administration and have hands-on experience supporting business-critical security platforms. Experience with identity platforms, directory services in complex environments, and modern cloud identity solutions is valuable, as are strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is expected, and relevant security certifications are considered an advantage.
