ServiceNow Developer
Join Stena Group IT as a ServiceNow Developer. Design scalable ITSM solutions, automate with confidence, and collaborate across teams to elevate service delivery.
ServiceNow Developer designs and delivers high‑quality platform solutions that support ITSM processes, improve automation, and ensure that Stena Group IT can efficiently manage services, data, and user interactions through a modern and scalable ServiceNow environment.
We offer
As our ServiceNow Developer, you will play a central role in strengthening Service Management Office (SMO) by ensuring the ServiceNow platform is continuously enhanced, stable, and aligned with operational needs. You will work with a high degree of independence, supported by ServiceNow Team (senior developer and technical architect, platform lead) as well as ITSM Process Management team and department Lead.
Your primary focus will be on implementing new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and ensuring the platform aligns with our technical standards and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including architects, business analysts, and end-users, to drive digital transformation and optimize business processes. Your expertise will help us maximize the value and efficiency of our ServiceNow investments, ensuring seamless and effective operations.
You will be equipped with the resources needed to succeed. Your work will directly influence process efficiency, automation, and service quality across the entire organization.
About You
You bring solid hands-on experience working with the ServiceNow platform for at least 2-3 years, supported by strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and a strong ability to translate business needs into high‑quality, maintainable solutions.
You are confident in designing and developing applications, workflows, and automation across ITSM, CMDB, and ITOM, and you understand how platform configuration supports reliable IT service delivery. Your technical foundation includes proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Flow Designer, and Web UI technologies, along with experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems through REST or SOAP APIs. You are comfortable working with data, either structuring CMDB records, managing transformations, or ensuring accuracy and consistency across the platform.
You apply analytical thinking to diagnose issues, improve performance, and optimize existing functionalities, and you bring a methodical approach to debugging and problem solving. Familiarity with SQL or MySQL, Agile delivery methods, and platform upgrade planning strengthens your ability to support long‑term platform stability.
Your communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with architects, analysts, and end‑users, ensuring solutions are well‑designed, understood, and aligned with expectations. You value clear documentation and take ownership of sharing knowledge within the team. Certifications such as ServiceNow System Administrator or Implementation Specialist are highly appreciated, as is experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
Above all, you are proactive, curious, and detail‑oriented; motivated to keep learning, stay current with new ServiceNow capabilities, and continuously improve how the platform enables efficient and user‑friendly service delivery across Stena Group IT.
