HSEQ Manager

We are looking for an HSEQ Manager to impact on our commitment to people and operational excellence. You will play a key role in this shore-based position as you have influence on the way we work with operational safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our vessels and shore organisation.
The job
You will be responsible for the Safety Management System and any future developments and implementations in accordance with the ISM Code for the RoRo and RoPax fleet at Stena Rederi A/S’ RoRo division. You will be part of a passionate team who will work closely with you and support you, however you are the one to safeguard our performance and ensure we are compliant.
Your role includes the classic disciplines within the HSEQ area – everything from flag state regulations, emergency preparedness and safety and environmental compliance. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing and developing our in-house safety awareness programme, called StenAware. To be successful it is important that you thrive with a high level of collaboration and engagement of colleagues both at sea and office. The role will report to the Fleet Manager of the team.
Professional qualifications
· Deck officers, Dual Officers, Naval architect or relevant maritime background, or equivalent maritime HSEQ experience, preferably with a few years of shore-based experience
· In-depth knowledge of ISM Code, ISO standards (9001, 14001 & 45001) and maritime HSEQ regulations
· Experience in incident investigation, audits, and risk management
· Strong communication and collaborative skills
· Ability to work in a multi-national environment
· English language is required as corporate language; Scandinavian language skills are nice to have but not needed
· Experience with RoPAX or RoRo vessels is an advantage
Personal characteristics
· Strong promoter of safety culture and keeping an open-minded approach
· Being able to show the way to a culture beyond compliance
· Structured and proactive in handling your responsibilities
In addition, you hold a Valid work and residence permit for Denmark
