Marine HR Coordinator
Are you passionate about playing a pivotal role in the unification of information? Then join us and be the forefront of transforming how knowledge is shared and accessed internally and to stakeholders
About us:
Stena Rederi A/S is a part of the Swedish family-owned company Stena AB. Locally in Hellerup we are operating as a consolidation of Stena AB’s Danish ferry and shipping activities. Within Stena Rederi there are two different business areas Stena Line and Stena RoRo.
To support our ongoing activities, we are currently looking for a Marine HR Coordinator to join our team.
About the role:
As a Marine HR Coordinator you will play an important role in being the bridge between many different stakeholders. It is therefore important that you thrive with being the core in collecting information and treating the puzzle pieces as part of a big picture you need to organize and bring forward.
Your tasks will be centered around:
- Acting as the first point of escalation on HR-related queries within Fleet Personnel.
- Acting as the first point of escalation for disciplinary actions/cases managing employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Assisting with developing and optimizing Fleet Personnel procedures such as HR policies.
- Developing and streamlining reporting needs.
- Participating in and conducting audits.
- Providing Marine HR guidance and advice to stakeholders.
- Project managing activities when new vessels join - or when vessels change flag.
- Coordinating and reviewing HR related matters such as; the annual salary review process, contracts, insurance, benefits, sickness, parental leave as well as internal guides.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations (Maritime law).
- Reporting to unions and different authorities when required.
- Managing projects assigned by the Fleet Personnel Manager or the Team Lead Marine HR & Payroll.
About you:
You either have a background working with HR, Coordination, Administration or similar. Perhaps you have been at sea and now want to put your skills into play on shore. You are good at planning your day and coordinating your tasks to satisfy the many stakeholders. Being pro-active lies in your nature and you thrive with a palette of many different tasks. You have strong communication skills both in writing as well as verbally. A day with both day-to-day tasks as well as projects with a longer timeline is a combination you find fun.
We don’t expect you to know Maritime law – if you find it interesting to learn – then we will teach you.
Danish language is an advantage, but not a requirement. You must be fluent in English, oral and written. Furthermore, we expect you to have a valid work permit.
What we offer:
An exciting hands-on position with international reach from a local position. You will have the possibility of continuous professional and personal development in an international and modern shipping environment. As the work environment is very important to us, we offer a flexible work schedule, great lunch scheme, joint weekly breakfasts, exercise, wellness, and various employee events in an informal organization with a great atmosphere. We do not only write these words – we work committed to create a better work environment which shows in our annual employee satisfaction survey.
We are committed to maintaining and developing a sustainable working environment, that gives equal opportunities to everyone. We embrace equality, diversity and inclusion – and welcome all applicants.
